Christmas Bird Count Los Andes 2007

Cayaya Birding organized the first Audubon Christmas Bird Count on Atitlan Volcano on 14 December 2007. The group counting birds at Los Andes was led by Daniel Tenez.

A total of 49 species were detected. Flagship-species of the Los Andes Reserve are Resplendent Quetzal (6 birds counted) and Azure-rumped Tanager (21 birds counted).

It follows a list of species and numbers of individuals recorded during the First Christmas Bird Count in Los Andes Reserve (Nomenclature according to AOU 1998 and supplements, most recent update AOU 2007).
