1st Day (L,D)
We meet in the morning in Cobán and set off to the Chelemhá cloud forest reserve (4 hours on asphalt and dirt road). We drive to the Polochic valley, from where we ascend from 400 m above sea level to 2000 m (6560 ft). After a late lunch in the Maya Cloud Forest Lodge birding the surroundings of the lodge. Dinner and overnight in the Maya Cloud Forest Lodge.
2nd Day (B,L,D)
Full day birding in the cloud forest of Chelemhá. Breakfast in the woods. We will hike uphill for 30 min to a favorite viewpoint for observing the display flights of the Quetzals. We will continue on a
trail inside the forest to a vantage point where we will relax and have lunch. On our way back to the lodge we will traverse different formations of cloud forest, including elfin ridge forest, oak ridge forest and aguacatillo-treefern forest. Complete loop about 5 km. 
In the afternoon birding around the lodge. Dinner and overnight in the Maya Cloud Forest Lodge.
3rd Day (B/L/D)
Another full day birding in the Chelemhá cloud forest. Dinner and overnight in the Maya Cloud Forest Lodge.
4th Day (B)
Short early morning excursion in secondary forest in the surroundings of the Maya Cloud Forest Lodge. After breakfast in the lodge we will drive back to Cobán.
